Lake Wales Envisioned

A Strategic Vision for Historic Lake Wales

Supported by 1000 Friends of Florida, the Olmsted Network, the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, and many other key sponsors, Lake Wales Envisioned set forth a compelling vision for the long-term development patterns of the region. It created a strategic regional conservation framework that would create and protect critical linkages to the Florida Wildlife Corridor as well as identifying areas for future growth. Lake Wales Envisioned will guide better street design and ensure better neighborhood design through a new Traditional Neighborhood Development ordinance that will lay the regulatory framework so as to ensure new development adds value to the community for generations to come.
