Liberty Park

Liberty Park is a new neighborhood located in the beautiful city of Edmond, Oklahoma. Liberty Park’s mission is to combine land conservation with walkable development. Seeking to encourage a healthy lifestyle, the plan preserves more than thirty percent of the 500-acre property as green space for trails which will make accessible the site’s streams and wetlands. New homes will range from single-family detached to multifamily and will be within walking distance to restaurants, office space, and a variety of local and regional businesses.

Dover, Kohl & Partners led a charrette in 2022 which enabled local stakeholders and community members to help shape the vision for Liberty Park. The client team included McGregor Homes and MassaRossa Luxury Homes and the planning team included HALFF Associates and Zanetta Illustration.

The illustrative plan shows phase 1 of the multiphase project.

Homes and porches are conversation distance from the sidewalk to help neighbors meet neighbors.

A network of bike trails connect the focal points within the community.

Small parks act as outdoor living rooms for neighbors to meet and interact.

Neighborhood greens would be surrounded by narrow, slow streets with on-street parking.

Streets are designed for the pedestrian and cyclists. In the commercial areas, wide sidewalks allow restaurants and cafes to provide outdoor seating areas.eating areas.

The plan includes a variety of parks, playgrounds, and nature trails. events and leisure.

Pavilions in the park provide a shade from the blazing sun.

A splash pad provides a place for children to play.

The amphitheater provides both a stage for events as well as water retention during rainstorms.
