Dover, Kohl & Partners joined Gary Justiss and Mike Watkins to plan a new community on Smith Lake, Alabama. The one-week charrette was hosted by the Bailey and Wood families. The new 160+ acre community (name to be decided) will give Smith Lake its first walkable center. Homes along the ridges will be connected by a series of paths and within walking distance of a range of greens, playgrounds and parks. The work-in-progress on July 30 attracted over 150 people including the Mayor of Cullman, Chamber of Commerce representatives and many potential new residents of the lake community.
